S/4HANA conversion and upgrade analysis
Before you move to S/4HANA or apply an EHP or release upgrade, we measure how much of your custom code will be affected. The result is a report with priorities and person-day estimates, and we can make the fixes too.
Scope
We run the analysis with our own tooling: custom code is extracted from the system and assessed against SAP's Simplification Item catalog and ATC results.
Custom code inventory
Custom objects by package, program, class and line count, and the business process each one serves.
Usage analysis
Production usage data shows which code never runs. Not migrating unused code is the cheapest saving in any conversion.
Simplification Item mapping
We match the tables, fields and functions your custom code uses against SAP's Simplification Item catalog: the extended material number, finance tables moved to ACDOCA, removed transactions and so on.
ATC readiness checks
We run ATC with the S/4HANA readiness checks and rank the findings by severity.
Modified standard objects
Modifications and enhancements: a list, in advance, of what you'll meet in SPDD and SPAU during the upgrade.

A fix approach and a person-day estimate for every finding, and which work can be done before the conversion and which after.

Frequently asked questions
What system access does the analysis need?
Read-only access is enough. Custom code is extracted and analyzed; nothing in the system is changed.
Does it help with the brownfield or greenfield decision?
Yes. Because the report shows the volume of custom code and how much of it is affected, it's one of the most important inputs to that decision. The decision is yours; we provide the numbers.
Is it only for S/4HANA conversions?
No. We run the same analysis for EHP and release upgrades on SAP ECC, and for upgrades between S/4HANA releases.
Do you also make the fixes?
If you want us to. We develop and test the findings in priority order and move them with transports.
